Modeling, texturing, rigging and animating the playable Bower Bird.
Created in just 3 days at the 2019 Melbourne Global Game Jam, Bower sees you take control of a male bower bird as you collect blue objects in an effort to decorate your nest and attract a mate.

Given the limited time and scope of the jam, we opted for a flat, unshaded art style that would help the blue objects in the world to brightly stand out amongst the setting. Gameplay is incredibly simple, providing only three actions: Move, Pick-up and Call. The call function is completely superfluous and the team had a lot of fun creating a game that is mostly about relaxing and exploring.
Ultimately, Bower was a good exercise in production management as we delivered a finished end-to-end game well within our 3 day scope.
